Hospital infection control nurse Sherri Robidou said that she wouldn’t forbid adults and children from visiting patients yet. So far, the community has been spared the epidemic number of flu cases that neighboring communities are experiencing.

Geary Community Hospital installs infection control station
Geary Community Hospital has added freestanding infection control stations at four patient/visitor traffic areas: the main entrance, the ER entrance, the MA I lobby and at the elevators in MA II. Each freestanding station includes hand sanitizer, facemasks, tissues and information on how to protect oneself from the cold and flu.
These stands help the hospital adhere to Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommended guidelines that healthcare facilities provide supplies and visual alerts to patients and visitors within their facilities. Using these products should help everyone feel more protected during visits to the hospital and doctors’ offices.
