POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Driver/Service Technician uses sales, service, and educational skills to ensure safe delivery, set-up, and use of equipment and maintains the quality provider image for the organization in the community.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: 

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

• High school graduate or Equivalent is required.
• Business classes or 1-2 years of college preferred.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience with HME or delivery preferred.
• General knowledge of medical equipment and supplies is helpful.
• Must have excellent customer service skills

REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS/TRAINING:

• Possesses a current valid drivers license.
• Must possess a good driving record.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including telephone skills.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

VISION REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to see clearly at 20 feet or more.
• Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
• Ability to see peripherally.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Frequent prolonged standing, walking, and sitting.
• Lifting of supplies and equipment.
• Manual dexterity and mobility.
• Occasional reaching, stooping, and bending.
• Able to lift 105 lbs from a squat to standing position.
• Subject to multiple interruptions.
• Occasional pressure due to multiple tasks and working with customers.
• Seasonal driving hazards may be present such as snow, rain, ice, etc.
• Subject to overtime due to fluctuation in workload.

DEGREE OF SUPERVISION REQUIRED:

• Must be able to work independently.
