Diabetes Education

Diabetes management is difficult without an understanding of how diabetes affects the body. Taking care of diabetes means learning about the influences of daily life on blood sugar. New, in-depth knowledge about diabetes is providing a greater understanding of the dynamics of the body's use of carbohydrates. This new understanding is contributing to the development of new medications at a rapid rate.

Call Laurel Peterson, RN, BSN, at 785-210-3344 for an appointment. Appointments are one-on-one with Laurel, so that she can meet your specific education needs. A referral from a physician is not necessary to make an appointment. Laurel will visit with anyone living with diabetes, whether the diagnosis is new or if someone has had diabetes for many years.

To learn more, contact the staff of Education Services at 785-210-3345 for Christine or 785-210-3344 for Laurel.
